Cette peinture date d'une période de pointe de la carrière de James Peale. Bien qu'il utilise généralement des couleurs sombres et des formes linéaires, son utilisation de couleurs vives et son exécution picturale dans ce travail suggèrent qu'il s'agit d'un exercice quelque peu expérimental. En mettant l'accent sur les formes végétales somptueuses, cette œuvre ressemble à des natures mortes de l'école espagnole. Les légumes sont, de gauche à droite, le gombo, le chou bleu-vert, le chou frisé de Savoie, la courge Hubbard, l'aubergine, la pomme baumier, les tomates et le chou rouge-violet.

The bright & white sections of the artpiece shine with a silky gloss, however without glow. The colors of the print are luminous in the highest definition, the details of the print appear crisp.
• Impression sur verre acrylique (avec revêtement en verre véritable): An print on acrylic glass, often named a UV print on plexiglass, will transform the artwork into magnificient wall décor. The major upside of a plexiglass fine art print is that sharp contrasts and smaller color details become more identifiable because of the granular gradation in the print. The plexiglass with real glass coating protects your custom art print against sunlight and heat for many decades.
