Oil on panel was used by the painter as the technique for the artwork. The masterpiece has the following inscription: signed and dated: B. vander / helst. 1660. Bartholomeus van der Helst was a male painter of Dutch nationality, whose art style was mainly Baroque. The painter lived for 58 ans et est né en 1612 à Haarlem, Hollande septentrionale, Pays-Bas et décédé en 1670.
