The original was made with the size: 50 x 39 1/2 in (127 x 100,3 cm) framed: 59 1/4 x 48 1/2 in (150,5 x 123,2 cm) and was produced with the technique oil on canvas. Gustave Courbet was a painter, sculptor, communard of French nationality, whose art style can be attributed primarily to Realism. The Realist painter was born in 1819 à Ornans, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France et est décédé à l'âge de 58 dans l'année 1877.
